THE SHVILLI CENTER

The SHVILLI Center provides resources for building emotional resilience and personal development practice that promotes well-being; mentally, physically, and spiritually.

We’re an online space for English-speaking Jews in Israel and all over the Diaspora, facilitated by qualified educators, clinicians, and trauma specialists. We offer psychoeducation, vital coping skills, and self-regulation tools to empower individuals and communities in times of crisis and everyday living.

We seek to safely explore the inner life within and develop regular practice to help maintain and strengthen our existing potential for resilience.

SHVILLI IS A COMBINATION OF TWO WORDS:

“Shvil and Bishvilli,” meaning, “A path forward for me.”

We are all walking our individual pathways towards healing.

We have the opportunity to dedicate the time and energy to invest in our own healing and growth.

HOW SHVILLI WORKS

The SHVILLI Center is a free resource hosted online.

Join our listserve to be sent updates of our new content throughout the week.

We are here to support your personal practice while developing tools that are mindful of the times we are living in.

In the current context, marked by the war in Israel and a global surge in antisemitism, it is crucial to equip ourselves with tools and resources that can help us manage and navigate our emotional responses to both news updates and our personal lives.

SHVILLI provides journaling prompts and culturally-sensitive meditations that engage with Jewish values, history, culture, and language in a meaningful way. Our focus encompasses aspects such as identity, lived experiences, personal and intergenerational memories, and aspirations for the future, all while acknowledging the shared human experiences that connect us all.

We also provide short exercises of evidence-based clinical practice, such as breath work, somatic movement and experiencing, poly-vagal theory, mind-body work, nervous system regulation, mindfulness practice, bilateral stimulation exercises, and more.
